Team context and recent form
Newport County come into the match in strong form, sitting 12th in League Two with 13 points from 10 games. They are unbeaten in their last five league matches, a run that reads WDDWW, and have not lost at home in their last seven league outings. Their most recent result was a 1-0 home win over Colchester United on 10 October, with Tanatswa Nyakuhwa scoring the decisive goal in the 79th minute.
York City, who sit 5th in the table, travel to South Wales having drawn 1-1 with Northampton Town last time out. They have not won an away league game in their last five attempts. The historical record favours Newport County, who have won four of the six meetings between the sides since 2013, scoring nine goals to York City's five.
Supporters not attending can follow audio commentary via Exiles TV for £2.50, with video passes available for fans outside the UK. The club's social media channels will provide updates, and Welsh-language coverage is available on @YrAlltudien. The next fixture for Newport County is this home clash with York, a key test against a top-five side.
