Arsenal are closing in on a double signing from Manchester United, with 19-year-old left-winger James Scanlon and 20-year-old right-back Habeen Ogynneye traveling to London to complete their transfers. Both players will join the U21 squad under former coach David Horseman. Scanlon, who earned 24 international caps for Gibraltar, spent the second half of last season on loan at Swindon Town, scoring once in six League Two games. Ogynneye, who previously loaned at Newport County, made 21 appearances and scored once for the Welsh side. The move follows a pattern of youth exchanges between the clubs, including Man United signing Chido Obi and Ayden Heaven from Arsenal in recent years. Arsenal are also targeting first-team additions, with deals for Piero Hincapie, Illan Meslier, Christos Tzolis, and Bruno Guimaraes finalized. Manager Mikel Arteta confirmed the club’s focus on strengthening the defense, citing long-term injuries to William Saliba and the need for an extra center-back.
